ROGER TILLEY : " in Carols..." CD


*CHRISTMAS 2001* Roger has a new album called "Roger Tilley...in Carols" ! This mini cd contains 6 pieces of very well or less known Christmas Carols (in surprising new versions) plus one composition of original music! The "Roger Tilley...in Carols" cd was entirely recorded in Athens/Gr just like Roger's "Introducing the Organ"cd but it won't be available anywhere. Only a small number of copies will be made which will be given to our friends and people we love on Christmas day! However, for those of you who are interested in Roger's work, we have made it possible to listen to his new project right here through this very page!

A u d i	o Section	* -Some info about the album- "Our second CD is a Christmas dedication to our friends and families! It is a small project to present the familiar in an unfamiliar way, to renew the joy of listening to Christmas music. Carols written for voices are synthesised into a multitude of instrumental sounds, some with a classical air, others with new technological timbre. The "Celestial Journey" is an improvisation which was recorded and mixed by Ion without my knowledge at the time. It will form part of a later project which will explore more exotic synthesised sounds. Even such a small project involves a tremeandous amount of cooperation and patience. The skill of the sound engineer is vital to the performance, since it affects what you finally hear. Once again, thanks to Ion, we have another quality recording." Roger I. Tilley
